What Google & Yahoo Looked Like at the Time of Launch

Here is how Google’s home page looked when it was launched in 1997 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who where Stanford PhD students then. You can check how your favorite brands’ websites looked like going as far back as the inception of the Internet using WayBack Machine

Here is how Yahoo looked like  (remember that it started as a directory) when it launched in 1994.

While Yahoo transitioned into a portal, Google’s look-and-feel haven’t changed much over years.

    Ironic how Google has maintained the least amount of content on its homepage, as compared to all of its competitors over the years, yet remains the most successful at bringing relevant info to the masses.
